Aga cruises into third round
2014 runner-up Agnieszka claimed a straight sets victory on Saturday night to move past Spanish qualifier Sara Sorribes Tormo in her Indian Wells opener and reach the third round at the BNP Paribas Open.
The sixth-seeded Pole sealed the match 6-3, 6-4 after one hour and 43 minutes of play to set up an encounter with another qualifier, Shuai Peng. The Chinese upset no.31 seed Ana Konjuh.
Aga converted three of her 10 break point chances, and saved four of five break points she faced during the first career meeting with Tormo.
